Are you serious, Lenovo?!
Thanks to my colleague Tristan for picking up this pearler. Are Lenovo seriously thinking that we’d want our wives to pick up and carry these damn things around the house or want our children to pick up this large glass device and carry it around the house (safely, and with nice clean hands like all children have)?
This video gives us an example of where design decisions can go wrong when form factor and practicality aren’t taken into account.
The video makes me want to bang my head against a surface.
there are so many wrong UI, ergonomic and design decisions made here it’s hard to pick which one to start on first. this is just the beginning folks of what i predict will be a long hard and expensive road for consumers as every Win 8 OEM hardware manufacturer attempts to create an iPad like cash cow and uses the public as a testing ground. many people are going to get burned here. good luck…
Further more, many OEMs use the excuse that “it’s like an iPad but it can actually run Microsoft Word, so take that Apple!”, once again missing the boat.
MS Office has no clothes (anymore…). we’ve all learned to live without it. an irrelevance if ever there was one but i’m convinced MS are still betting the Surface on it…
